It’s something like this: people fell and we inherited that legacy of corruption and sin, but God has been reaching out to people throughout many different times and in many different ways, and finally, He sent His Son, who is the exact expression of His nature, in order to free us from sin and corruption and their effects, paying our penalty and administering reconciliation to those who would receive it.
