Concerning Heaven

The thing that, I think, I will find to be the most suprising, the most moving, is how personally, how personally, God loves me. I say that because it’s been easy, in the practice of my faith, to speak in a language of big concepts and ideas, and while all of those things can be good and true, they cause me to imagine that meeting in heaven using this analogy:

Have you ever gone somewhere you haven’t been since early in your childhood, and the people there love you and know who you are, but because you were so young, you don’t remember them?

Yeah, it’s like that. It’s a surreal experience that makes you question what you think you know. It’s humbling and mind-expanding, and you realize, there is so much more.
