In Exodus 25:40 and 27:8, the instructions are being given to Moses about how to build the Tabernacle, and both verses contain the command to do it “just as it was shown to you on the mountain.”
The way that resonates with me personally is this: don’t deviate from, or loose hope in, what God has shown you on the mountain, (that is, when He has clearly spoken to you, or when His presence or His working was markedly evident), when you are in the labor of everyday life. And I don’t mean labor just like work, it’s labor like, by living your life in a God-honoring, God-aware, God-remembering way, you are giving birth to a daily reality that is more aligned with the love and thoughts and plans he has for you.
